AbstractA novel grind route for preparing LaMnO3 perovskitic catalysts for methane combustion has been developed. The method was carried out using the urea solid solution as precursors, which led to the process possessing the properties of both the liquid reaction and the low-temperature solid reaction. The resulting material exhibited nano-micron structure and possessed the high dispersion of the different components, resulting in the higher activity and the thermo-stability of the catalyst than that prepared with the conventional sol–gel-citrate (SGC) method.
