AbstractThe aqueous-phase synthesis of crystalline silver nanowires with different aspect ratios has been achieved by altering seeds. Cyclic voltammetry and tafel results showed that silver nanowires with high aspect ratio exhibited better activity and alcohol-tolerant stability for oxygen electroreduction in alkaline media than nanowires with low aspect ratio.
