AbstractSuperhydrophobic copper foil surface was fabricated by a simple wet-chemical etching andself-assemble method. We discussed the effect of surface structure on fabricating superhydropho-bic surface. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)have been used to investigate the as-prepared surface. The result shows that the surface roughnessis crucial to creating a superhydrophobic surface.
